Game Preview

This is the first preview of what I hope will be a game I will complete.  I created all of it with Photoshop.  I do not have all of the elements yet made in the scene.  I will add another character that the other guy will attack or hit.  I think its like a Versus style game or shooting type with platforms.

New Game Art Idea!

This is an idea that I sketched out for a game.  This is a draft of a character you may use in the game.  These are not the final drawings yet.  I did draw out one of the enemies that will also be in the game.  I may post it soon.  The game is still in the pre-production or designing stage.  I will try and update what I am doing.

Update on game progress.

Well I just got word that our game is coming together nicely.  I few more tweaks to do from what my friend said to me.  We are thinking it will be out hopefully in January 2012.  I will keep updates on the release.

I also hope to put some more artwork up soon.

The Night Before Thanksgiving.

Hey to all of my fans and onlookers.  It is just about Thanksgiving in a couple of hours at least here in the Midwest.  I want to give thanks to everyone who supported me and who is supporting me currently in life.

It been a rocky year and a half for me.  Finding my true skills and essence of my being.  I have struggled to get where I want to be and if that is what I have to travel then I will do my best to work through this time of my life.  I hope that God will fit those gifts and opportunities in my life and help me see those gifts and people that come into my life.

I am thankful and grateful to have friends, family, and things in my life.  I pray for everyone to have a Thanksgiving that is safe, enjoyable, and filled with love from others. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

A Few Kind Words From Me

I especially want to Thank my friend, Mike. You have been a huge influence, coach, and mentor to me. You have help set change to my thinking and beliefs especially about myself. I have only known you for a short time in my life, but you have helped me get a start in a better place within that time.  I pray for both of us to continue to grow and encourage one another in this journey of life.

Happy Halloween

This is October and to get into the Eerie and Magical Season, I have a drawing I created last Halloween and I have finally had the time to scan it into my computer so I can show you this simple, goofy, and fun piece.  I first lightly sketched it out in pencil and once I was finished with that, I used a black permanent fine tip marker to finish the drawing off.

August sketches

The guy leaning on a cane, I sketched it from my beautiful mind.  The couple kissing I had drawn it from a photo that I found on Google or Yahoo, and the birds and trees, I was at a local park and had drawn them from real life.

Moderately paced and steady wins the race.

To update you on the game, me and my friend are in the testing and troubleshooting process currently.  Having a bit of a snag, but my friend is working on it.  It has kind of put us in a bump in the road to launch it.  We will see how things progress in the next couple of weeks.

Color Stage of Three Pigs

Finished coloring the pigs. It took about 5 to 6 hours.Colored it in Photoshop and used my Bamboo tablet. I may work on a background for them. I am thinking a farm or city scape.

Design layout

I made this in Photoshop.  I was practicing making a design piece like for a newsletter heading or brochure.  The photo I found on Google.  I do not claim that I took the photo.  I layed out the text and the background.

Inking stage of The Three Pigs

I inked it in Photoshop and used my Bamboo Pen Tablet to draw the 3 pigs.  I also have the original sketch under it.  I reduce the opacity of the scanned sketch to give me a reference.  The next step, I am working on coloring and shading the 3 pigs.  I will show it soon so check back to see the progression on my blog.  This is my first large project using the Bamboo tablet.  I am practicing using it.  I feel it could speed up my inking.  It's a pretty nice tool to use.

I wanted to come up with a modern concept of the three pigs.

The medium I used was markers.  I sketched it out on paper first.

Save the Frogs!

I created this for a save the frogs art contest. I sketched the frog out first, then I layered letters over the frog.  Drew the frog inside the text to get that look. I used markers to color the final image.

I replicated a iPhone from a photo. I used Photoshop. The top image is my version and the bottom is the photo I referenced it from. Tell me how mine looks.

Rock, Paper, Scissors Game App Art Icon

I created this game app icon for a practice.  It is for a rock, paper, scissors game that a guy I knew made. I created it in Photoshop.

Untitled Brick Shooting Game

This is a few samples of a brick or block type shooting game that I are making for the iPhone game.  I am creating all of the art work for this game.  The first image is skecthes of the characters.  Next image is of a preview of what the main menu will just about look like.  Still not finished with the main menu screen.  The last image is of one of the Level Select screens that will be in the game.  We have more levels planned in the works.  The main menu and level select screens were done with Photoshop.

Woody Woodpecker

This is my hand drawing version of Woody Woodpecker.  I kind of wanted to make a modern look for him.  I used permanant marker and I imported into Photoshop.

Untitled Game

I am currently working on a game for the iPhone with my friend/partner.  We want to get it out very soon.  This is the first post about this subject.  Its going to be a block or brick shooting game.  Much better then the other ones out there.  My friend and I have been working on this game since February 2011, its coming along well.

I have some animation I am working on currently for the game and other art work.  I am basically doing all of the art work. I think we are excited to launch a game for the iPhone.
